The Initiation App is an AI-powered tool designed to help people with ADHD and chronic procrastination identify what's blocking them from starting tasks, and to provide targeted interventions and dopamine-paired rewards to support task initiation.
The App is not a medical device, therapy service, or clinical treatment. It is a productivity and wellness tool. It should not replace professional mental health care.
The App creates an anonymous account for you automatically. You may optionally provide a first name. You do not need to create a username or password. Your account is tied to your device.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your device. If you lose access, we cannot recover your session history.
The App offers a free tier and a paid Base tier ($6.99/month). Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. The following terms apply:
We collect minimal data to operate the App. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Task descriptions you enter are processed by Anthropic's AI to generate responses. By using the App, you consent to this processing. We send only the task text and session context — never your name or identifying information.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or appropriate for your specific situation.
The Initiation App is a wellness tool, not a medical service. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or crisis service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Initiation App shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
If you downloaded The Initiation App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply.
License. Your license to use the App is a non-transferable license to use it on any Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may also access the App through Family Sharing or volume purchasing where applicable.
Responsibility. This agreement is between you and The Initiation App only — not Apple. We are solely responsible for the App and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or warranties for the App.
Warranty. If the App fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund your purchase price. Beyond that refund, Apple has no warranty obligations with respect to the App. All other warranty claims are our responsibility.
Product Claims. We — not Apple — are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, regulatory compliance claims, and consumer protection claims.
Intellectual Property. If a third party claims the App infringes their intellectual property rights, we — not Apple — are solely responsible for investigating, defending, and resolving that claim.
Export Compliance. By using the App, you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Third Party Terms. When using the App, you agree to comply with applicable third party terms, including Anthropic's usage policies which govern the AI features of the App.
Third Party Beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third party beneficiary.
